The beginning of Sem 2

Thank God for sem 2, everything just seems so right. I get to fix my bad habits, meet up with friends, go back to school and do my "thing" in Swinburne and I saw that God has, is and will continue to open the way for me.

However, there is one thing that I am most grateful of. It's a gift from God, one that I will try to keep and keep it going. I commit it in God's hands and pray for God's blessings upon this.

Series I'm Following Now: Hana Yori Dango

Hana Yori Dango aka Boys over Flowers.

Watched the 1st episode and I loved it, waiting for the other episodes to download.

Shun Oguri, I like him since Hana Kimi aka Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e aka For You In Full Bloom/Blossom. He's always playing the cool mysterious guy, I wonder why. Love his hair in this series, better than in Hana Kimi.

What Are We Holding To?

Tolkien's classic The Lord of the Rings trilogy came to life in recents on film. In the second epic story, the hero, Frodo, reached a point of despair and wearily confided to his friend. "I can't do this, Sam." As a good friend, Sam gave a rousing speech: "It's like in teh great stories. . . . Full of darkness and danger they were. . . . Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something." Which prompted Forodo to ask: "What are we holding on to, sam?"

It's a significant question, one that we all need to ask ourselves. Living in a fallen, broken world, it's no wonder that sometimes we feel overwhelmed by the powers of the darkness. When we are at the point of despair, ready to throw in the towel, what keeps us going, what are we holding on to?

In life's battles, let's hold on to the fact that good will triumph over evil in the end. We can be part of this great story, knowing that we have held on to the right thing.

1 Timothy 6:11-16

The trials of earth are small compared with the triumphs of heaven.
