Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010

I know its a little late writing this post since its already at the end of February, but looking back at the old posts, I decided to write one anyways.

2009 to me, was the worst year of my life. Seriously, Im not exaggerating about it. Due to some very personal issues, I dont feel comfortable sharing it. Just proves how bad a trauma it is to me. I just couldnt wait for it to pass any sooner. Lets see the effects, I sleep late (real late), I wasted half a year of my life (including 3k money), and some horrible horrible sins.

I dunno if I had paid enough for what I did, but I really did suffer a lot.

Thank God for a new year, where I can throw everything away, get new hope and also a new start. Its very important to me because I really need it, due to the horrible events of 2009 of course.

And praise Him for His faithfulness, the year started awesome and has been great until now. But I know sooner or later something is gonna rock my boat, because thats just life. Its God's way of making me a better person, and I know it. All I ask is that He be with me all in all.

Christmas - My Thoughts

You know why is there Xmas when the actual word is Christmas? Realise that the word Christ from Christmas, which means Jesus Christ, was cancelled with a huge X. There is a reason to it, wanna know why? Dont let the truth scare you. It's because... the devil wants to make it insignificant!

On Christmas day, did'ja all realise the weather was super awesome? Where as it was raining everyday. As far as Im concerned, to me, even nature itself admits Christmas is a special day. The words "joy to the world" kept on cycling in my mind. Indeed, it was the day man received HOPE! God still loves us! How great a hope is that! Indeed it was joy to the world.

At night, when in church, during the gifts exchanging event, I had the privilege to give gifts to people who didnt bring any gifts to exchange. As I was giving, I felt the fulfillment, the fulfillment of my destiny. Actually, my name Hiroshi means the great one or the noble one, but Hiro means give. Simply giving, means that Im fulfilling my destiny. It felt great!

After the service, I stayed back to help clean up the church and stayed back even later to accompany my bro Nyiap Hong to lock up the church. Later we went to have supper, and it was a feast hahahaha. Yeah, my great bro blessed me with the food and we had a great time sharing and chatting. The sharing and chatting helped me to desire to have the first passion, much like the first love, when serving God, teaching His Words, leading Praise and Worship, shepherding my sheep, chairing and prayer, etc. Thanks bro!
